Eyes on the Côte-de-Beaupré
Did you know that Québec would not have become what it is without the Côte-de-Beaupré ? The first settlers landed here nearly 400 years ago. As New France’s breadbasket, it is the cradle of French America, where everything began. In this exhibition, you will visit the Côte-de-Beaupré as if you were flying over it, from the Montmorency Falls to Cap Tourmente. Come discover the historical treasures of each municipality and the built heritage that makes this region so unique.
The Old Convents’ site : past and present
The Côte-de-Beaupré territory has been occupied for over 400 years. Using artifacts uncovered during archaeological excavations and the archaeological trenches that allow us to see the foundations of the first convents, discover how the occupation of the site evolved from the Aboriginal period until today.
Immerse yourself in the history of an old reconstructed classroom. Travel back in time, the exhibition presents the evolution of rural education through time. Yes, you have the right to touch! Come and have fun!
